To Christians from the Greater N

To Christians from the Greater New York City area who really believe in and are really interested in the Second Coming of Christ:

This is an appeal that I, William D. Brehm, the Webmaster and principle author of this site am making to you.

I believe that I am called to teach about Second Coming Prophecy, to help prepare the Church, that is, the Christian world at large, for the Second Coming. There are two major points that I feel I have to impress Christians with:

Furthermore, I believe I am called to teach about what will really happen and how to be ready. I first began this effort by distributing tape-recorded lectures back in 1987. Then I put up this Web site in 1997. It has been up the entire time since. I know that it has been visited by more than a million people. I know it has touched peoples lives.

However, I don't believe it has gotten the message, the Main Message, that is, across to people on the scale that I think is needed.

Bluntly, I am convinced, from several lines of thinking, that the series of events we call The Great Tribulation will begin within less than twenty years. Some of those reasons are laid out in the following section and pages of this site:

I am deeply burdened about this situation. I want to really get the Main Message across to Christians, and more besides. Again, I feel that the Lord has called me to do this. I feel this way because of all the reasons why the Lord will come soon that I know, and also because of this:

As stated in my "Why I Believe" page, I received signs from the Lord in dreams. These dreams do not generally give me doctrine to teach or prophecies of world events. They give me guidance for my own Christian life. Relevant to that, a number of them have included prophecies that were mainly about my life, and the prophecies came true

I have had three dreams that taken together, constitute a call to teach about the Second Coming. The first started with the words "The farmer (read "shepherd") will be coming back soon." and ended with the words "You better feed my calves (read "sheep"). I had that dream in 1973. A sequel sometime later affirmed it. The second, which I had in 1991, included my being asked to "help set up for a wedding". I am trying to feed the "calves"; I am trying to "help set up for the wedding". But now, I am appealing for your help in doing so.

By the way, I had two other dreams, not yet fulfilled, in 1998 that said that I will live to see the Great Tribulation begin. What happened in the dream seemed to be in accord with my "A Mountain Burning With Fire" page. That, by the way, is something that I think that Christians need to specifically know about.

What I am asking for your help in is this: So far, "Bread Upon The Waters Ministry" has been mainly a one-man operation, consisting of my Web site and emails, my hard-copy writings on Prophecy, and such teaching on the subject as I have been able to do. (Of course, I have had some support in various ways from other Christians.) Now, I would like to turn it into a real ministry. To do that, I need people.

I have started a Coffeehouse Ministry in my church. So far, few people are coming. I am asking you, if it is physically possible, to come. I am asking you to invite other people to come. If you are, or know, a Christian actor, writer, poet, or musician who might want to participate, invite them to come.

By the way, you might be turned off by the fact that this is being held at the Church of Christ at Greenpoint. F.Y.I. There are four distinct denominations called the Church of Christ. Collectively, they have a bad reputation that is well deserved in some cases. Trust me: I am the son of a Baptist minister. This Church of Christ is not much different from a Baptist. More than that, if you come, you will not be hearing about "Church of Christ". You will be hearing about Second Coming Prophecy.

If I can build enough of a live following for this ministry, I will hope to turn Bread Upon The Waters Ministry into a real, incorporated not-for-profit ministry. First, however, I need tangible support. By the way, one thing I hope to do down the road is present seminars.
